Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026. This policy explains how FaceSeek handles information when you use our website, mobile applications, guest access, subscriptions, and related services.

Scope

  • This Privacy Policy applies to the FaceSeek website, mobile applications, guest access, accounts, subscriptions, referrals, support, and related services.
  • FaceSeek is a visual-similarity search service. It is not an identity-verification, background-check, law-enforcement, or individual-profile service.

Information We Collect

  • Account information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, authentication identifier, and referral information. Registration is optional where Guest Mode is available.
  • Images or image URLs that you deliberately submit, together with search mode, search results, source URLs, result thumbnails, timestamps, and saved search history.
  • Subscription status, product identifiers, transaction references, renewal or cancellation status, and credit balances received from the applicable app store or payment provider. FaceSeek does not receive your full payment-card details.
  • Device, browser, app-version, diagnostic, security, and usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the service.
  • For introductory guest access, we may retain an opaque device identifier or a one-way keyed network/browser claim and a hashed session token to prevent repeated free-credit claims. The website guest-credit claim does not store the raw network address.
  • Feedback and support information that you choose to send to us.

Facial Images and Visual-Similarity Search

  • When you submit an image, facial features in that image may be analyzed or converted into a mathematical representation solely to perform the visual-similarity search you requested.
  • The search may compare the submitted image with images indexed from publicly accessible online sources. Results are presented as independent image thumbnails and links to the source pages where available.
  • A result means only that images may be visually similar. It does not establish that two images show the same person, and FaceSeek does not confirm a person’s identity.
  • FaceSeek does not intentionally combine results into a biography, contact record, background report, or consolidated individual profile. We do not obtain private address books, friends lists, or private social-media contacts for face search.
  • Source websites are independent third parties. FaceSeek does not control their content, availability, privacy practices, or removal procedures.

Your Authorization

  • You may submit only your own image or an image for which you have all required consent, rights, and lawful authority. You must not use FaceSeek to stalk, harass, discriminate against, impersonate, exploit, or otherwise harm another person.
  • Where the app displays an Image Search Consent control, Gallery and Camera remain blocked until you provide this confirmation. You can later withdraw that authorization in the app. Withdrawal blocks new image selection until you authorize it again; it does not automatically erase searches already completed.

How We Use Information

  • To provide requested uploads, visual-similarity searches, result links, saved history, credits, subscriptions, referrals, account access, and support.
  • To authenticate users, restore purchases, synchronize entitlements across supported devices when an optional account is used, and process renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing events.
  • To prevent fraud and repeated introductory claims, protect users and the service, investigate abuse, debug failures, and improve reliability and performance.
  • To send transactional, security, policy, and support communications. We do not sell submitted facial images or personal information.

Service Providers and Sharing

  • We use service providers for authentication, cloud hosting and storage, search processing, app-store and payment processing, subscription management, analytics, bot prevention, error reporting, communications, and customer support.
  • We disclose only the information reasonably necessary for those providers to perform services for us. We require providers that process user data for FaceSeek to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable platform requirements.
  • We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to enforce our Terms, or to protect users, FaceSeek, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
  • Results may link you to independent third-party websites. Visiting those websites is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Retention and Deletion

  • Account details, credit balances, and saved search records are generally retained while your account remains active or until you delete the relevant search or account.
  • Submitted images are hosted so the search provider can process them and so saved search history can function. Account deletion removes FaceSeek account records, search jobs, and saved result references from our application database. Hosted copies and infrastructure backups may require a separate verified deletion request and may persist for a limited operational or backup period.
  • Guest-session records expire according to their session settings. Pseudonymous device, browser, or network claims may be retained after account deletion for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent repeated introductory-credit abuse.
  • Transaction references, webhook records, security logs, fraud-prevention records, and records maintained by app stores or payment providers may be retained for legal, accounting, dispute, security, or platform-compliance purposes.
  • Deleting FaceSeek data does not delete an image or webpage hosted by an independent source website. You must contact that website to request removal from the original source.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can review or delete individual saved searches in the app and can permanently delete a registered account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
  • If you no longer have the app, follow the instructions at https://faceseek.cc/account-deletion or email contact@faceseek.cc from the address registered to the account.
  • You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or information about data associated with you. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
  • Deleting a FaceSeek account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple, Google Play, or another payment provider. Cancel it through the applicable store to prevent future renewals.

Children

  • FaceSeek is not intended for children under 18. Do not submit an image of a minor unless you are the parent or legal guardian and have the lawful authority required for that use.

Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy at this same URL and update the effective date.
